One of the Best Productivity Tips

In 1918 Charles Schwab, the President of Bethlehem Steel hired productivity coach Ivy Lee to increase productivity at the steel giant. Schwab suspected the company could do more.

Mr. Lee met with Schwab and the senior team as a group for about an hour or so.

Clear is Kind. Unclear is Unkind.

If you’re familiar with today’s subject line, you may have heard it in a 12-step recovery room, or more likely from your learning and study of leadership.

It’s not new. However, famous author, speaker, and research professor, Brene Brown has made it pretty popular in the leadership space.

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all you Dads & Granddads today!!!

I was lucky and very blessed to have my Dad for 52 years before we lost him suddenly 10 years ago to a heart condition at age eighty.

He was my first hero, teacher, coach, and so much more including me finally figuring out a lifelong best friend after years of not understanding this because I was “too smart” for my own good.

Control the Controllable

I’m a big college football fan. It was unavoidable. Here in Alabama, I was born into the heart of Southeastern Conference (SEC) Football. My parents were big Alabama football fans.

I have noticed that experts, those who are at the top of their field, are constantly reading, studying, and continuing to learn.

Learn and Move On

What do you do when you make a mistake?

Are you like many people who beat themselves up when they make an error or a foolish decision?

Despite being a positive forward thinking person … this inner enemy punishing me was something that I had an issue with for many years.

Motivation Defined

With some of the negative things going on in life and in the world, it makes some days hard to be motivated.

I know, I know. Motivation is what links us to our successes and we must stay on top of them … I was thinking the other day, “what really is motivation and how is it really defined? What really makes me want to do the things I do?”

Well, motivation is suggested to be an important link to learning and achievement.
