2022 is quickly coming to a close… a part of me feels like it should be summer still.
Nevertheless, as a big sports fan, here we are the middle of football season (as a Southerner, nothing like college FB), Major League Baseball playoffs crowning a World Champion in 2-3 weeks, and the NBA basketball season begins next week.
I digress … As small business owners, what should we be asking ourselves NOW, with about 74 days left in the year?
How do we make it through Thursday, December 31st with no regrets for how we spent our time during the past twelve months?
Right now, I’m looking back to my Goal and Action Planners I created at the end of last year, starting with what I did and had planned in January.
I set many goals this year… health, family, personal, spiritual, financial, and business, all on the list, plus, many, many more small process goals that contribute to each of the major goals mentioned.
I am happy and proud that I have accomplished many of these goals and have been able to check a lot of things off the list these past 9 months. However, I’m not going to let that delay me on my quest to finish the year strong and meet as many of the goals I set as I possibly can.
Wherever you are on your list of goals for 2022, today I want to remind you to stop and take an extra moment to reflect on your many goals and accomplishments so far in 2022 – short term and long term.
Pat yourself on the back if you’ve made good progress (and keep making it through yearend!).
Roll up your sleeves if you haven’t. Even if it’s something simple, like start walking or eating the right foods or drinking ½ your body weight in water every day.
Either way, no matter how well you’ve performed thus far this year, we’ve still got 2 ½ months to go, and you can make them better or worse for the next 2 ½ months of the year – it’s all up to you.
If you need to, make an action plan just for these next 2 ½ months. Start now and plan to finish out the year strong. Set additional mini-goals for yourself. You can do this!
