Right Here … Right NOW

I ran across a short paragraph this week that really struck a chord with me. So much so, that I wanted to share it with all of you. It stems from a simple saying from the Native American culture:

“You move toward and become that which you think about”

So, I began asking myself some pertinent questions:

  • What am I thinking of most of the time?
  • Am I regretting things that have happened in the past or obsessively worried about the future?
  • Am I judging others throughout the day or meeting everyone on a level playing field?
  • Am I condemning myself or am I feeling confident?

The truth is, is that my thoughts are ALWAYS affecting my actions, whether I realize it or not. I am going to receive whatever I put out there into the universe, spoken or unspoken.

When I think about it, the only way that I have found to be truly successful and productive throughout the day, is by thinking positively in the moment, setting goals for success in the future, and then backing those goals up with action.

I am learning that through living in the moment, I am able to be my best self NOW, not yesterday or tomorrow, but my best self NOW. And, through this practice of living in the NOW, I can be successful in whatever the day brings. The power of NOW. What a gift!

What do you think about? Is it something you would want to move toward and become?

I challenge you to start living in the now and take control of your thinking.
