Beware of Impatience

by Bill Gough, Insurance Hall of Fame Agent

Did you know that the twin killers of success are >impatience and greed.

It takes time to build a corporate work of art, time to build a life and time to develop and grow.

Give yourself, your business and your family the time they deserve and the time they require.

Be patient with yourself, and with your customers. Impatience is a destructive and negative force.

When you spend all your time focusing on what you can’t get NOW, you ruin the present moments. AND.. this leads to negative emotions toward your future.

We all know Americans are incredibly impatient. You can't keep your customers waiting or you'll be in danger of losing them. Be sure to put yourself in your customer's shoes and treat your customers how you’d want to be treated yourself.

Now don’t get me wrong, I know business is about making money, but don’t be greedy.

The chase for money is indeed greedy, instead help your customers to understand the value of YOU and YOUR business. This is where the money growth lies.

The best and most successful business leaders are entrepreneurs who are passionately driven by their products and services. These change the way they live and work. The best businesses aren’t driven by greed, but by PATIENCE and VALUES.

I want you to think about your attitude towards patience… It’s annoying, isn’t it?

The annoying part of it is the waiting and the unproductive time were you don’t get results.

If impatience is the killer of success, patience is success’ breeder. Embrace patience as your ally.

AND… hang on to your daily disciplines, I was patient with them and still wrote business every day and learned new things.

Always be patient in all that you do.
