Success Is Everything

Here are a couple of my favorite quotes on success:

“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” Sir Winston Churchill

“Success cannot be owned, it can only be rented … AND … the rent is due every day.” Anonymous

Have you ever heard the phrase "Success isn't everything"? What that phrase really means is "Money isn't everything", because in the end, success IS everything.

What does it mean to succeed?

  • When you survive, you're succeeding.
  • When you're a good person, you're succeeding.
  • When you overcome an obstacle, you're succeeding.
  • When you make good decisions, you're succeeding.

Success is everything. And the best way to have success is to ask yourself "If I could do better, shouldn’t I?” Ask yourself and apply it to everything you do in life.

If you could improve your health, shouldn’t you? If you can learn more, shouldn’t you? If you can answer yes to improving those things, why can’t you say yes to improve everything else?

Success is not so much what we have as it is what we are.

Success is attracted by the person you become. How do you become that person? By studying and thinking critically. Everyone should have to take Critical thinking I and Critical thinking II in school. Remember, success is 20% skill and 80% strategy.

On the flip side, failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don't fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. It's important not to take a casual approach to life because business casualness leads to business casualties.

Really, it's too bad failures don't give seminars. Wouldn't that be valuable? If you meet a guy who has messed up his life for forty years, you've just got know that he's got some good advice on what not to do.

Keep in mind: You might know how to read, but more importantly, what's your plan to read? Success is the difference between ability and strategy.

Don't fear failure. Look at it as a learning opportunity. Use experience, both negative and positive, as building blocks.

Negative experience, or failure, is the ideal teacher. From that failure, we can learn how to better prepare ourselves for the future. We can use the knowledge we gained from the experience to get the slight edge we need to skyrocket our lives, business and personal, to the next level.

We all want the same thing – to be successful in all of our endeavors. Being successful is as much about the work it takes to get there as it is about the mindset necessary to reach success. If you believe that you will not be successful, then you are already setting yourself up for failure.

Convince yourself that you will be succeed, strive for excellence, and never give up. You will soon find yourself at the peak of your success.
